Published on August 26, 2019, Victor Wanyama's transfer to Club Brugge is on the verge of being finalized, but the 28-year-old Kenyan midfielder must now agree to the move.

Wanyama's career at Tottenham Hotspur has been marred by a string of knee injuries, which have seen him fall down the pecking order behind the club's record signing, Tanguy Ndombele.

Despite being a fan favorite under manager Mauricio Pochettino, Wanyama has struggled to regain his form since a devastating partnership with Mousa Dembele in 2016. He started just four Premier League matches in the last campaign and eight in the one before that.

Wanyama was even left on the bench for Tottenham's opening match of the Premier League season against Aston Villa, with 18-year-old Oliver Skipp preferred over the Kenyan midfielder.
