Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has revealed that President Uhuru Kenyatta mediated to end his long-standing feud with Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho.
According to Sonko, the President called him and Kibicho for a meeting, where they had tea and shook hands, effectively putting an end to their differences.
Speaking on K24's Punchline political show on Sunday, Sonko said, 'It's true we used to have issues but I think we sorted (them) out.'
Before the two closed ranks, Sonko had consistently taken on Kibicho in public, accusing him of fuelling his political woes and exposing him in bad light.
However, Sonko has now urged Deputy President William Ruto to mend fences with opposition leader Raila Odinga, citing the President's own reconciliation with Odinga as an example.
He also claimed that he was forced to verbally attack women leaders Esther Passaris and Millie Odhiambo on social media because they 'attacked him first.'
