Former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto's glowing tribute to Citizen TV's top anchor Hussein Mohamed has sparked a question about the anchor's potential ownership of shares at Royal Media Services.

During a live interview on Tuesday's Newsnight show, Governor Ruto quipped, 'I bet you (Hussein) must be a shareholder in Citizen, because you are doing so well for Citizen.'

Reactions on social media followed swiftly, with some users asking Hussein to come clean about his potential shareholding.
