Published on August 26, 2019, driving a manual car has become a rare skill in today's era of automatic transmissions. However, for those who have mastered the art of shifting gears, there's a sense of satisfaction and connection with the vehicle that's hard to match.

As a seasoned driver, I can attest to the invigorating experience of driving a manual car. The feeling of being in control, of shifting gears with precision, and of being one with the vehicle is unparalleled. In the past, driving a manual car was a rite of passage, a test of one's driving prowess. While automatic cars have made driving easier, they've also taken away some of the excitement and challenge of driving.

So, what makes driving a manual car so special? For one, it requires skill and practice. You need to be in full control, at all times, shifting gears with precision and finesse. The three pedals - clutch, brake, and accelerator - work together in harmony, and mastering 'the dance' takes time and patience.

One of the biggest challenges for new drivers is starting the car, but once you've mastered that, the rest is quite easy to grasp. The key is to remember that the clutch needs to be engaged to change gears, and to ease off the clutch slowly to avoid stalling the car.

Personally, I prefer driving manual cars. I feel more connected to the vehicle, and the experience is more engaging and fun. Of course, there are downsides - driving manual cars can be tiresome, especially over long distances, and navigating hills can be a challenge. But for those who enjoy the thrill of driving, the rewards far outweigh the challenges.

So, if you're new to driving manual cars, don't worry - with practice and patience, you'll master 'the dance' in no time. And who knows, you might just find yourself falling in love with the joy of driving manual.
