Naivasha will host the Powerlast Hill Climb on September 21 and 22, under the banner of Chloride Exide's Powerlast brand.

Malewa Bay, situated on Moi North Lake Road, will be the venue for the competition, which promises to be a thrilling event for drivers and spectators alike.

"The Powerlast brand embodies the grit and determination that Hill Climb events are all about," said Devan Jadeja, the event's director.

Competitors will have the opportunity to drive in a competitive environment, in a fun and friendly atmosphere, with the goal of setting the quickest times on the uphill stretch.

The three-kilometre stretch at Malewa Bay will be graded to ensure that competitors can achieve high speeds as they tackle the steep hill.

The stretch starts from 1,900 metres above sea level and ends at 2,200 metres above sea level, making it a challenging but rewarding experience for drivers.

The Hill Climb is a unique sport that allows a wide range of vehicles to compete, from motorbikes and quads to modified rally cars.

Foreign drivers from countries like Tanzania, Uganda, and Rwanda will not have to pay entry fees, and organisers will provide camping venues for spectators and competitors.
