On August 25, 2019, Gor Mahia FC convincingly defeated Aigle Noir 5-1 at the Moi International Sports Centre in Kasarani, securing their spot in the CAF Champions League round one.

The match was a continuation of the first leg, which ended in a 0-0 draw in Bujumbura two weeks prior. Despite the initial draw, pundits expected Gor Mahia to take the lead at home, and they did not disappoint.

Captain Kenneth Muguna led the charge, scoring in the 10th minute. Nicholas Kipkirui widened the advantage six minutes later, scoring from a corner. He added another goal in the 38th minute, heading in from a throw ball.

Joash Onyango and Tobias Otieno played crucial roles in Gor Mahia's defense, while David Mapigano was untested in the second half. However, Aigle Noir's Jospin Nshmirimana scored in the 79th minute to make it 5-1.

Ernest Wendo was introduced in the 84th minute, replacing Lawrence Juma in the midfield. The match ended with a 5-1 aggregate score in favor of Gor Mahia FC.

They will now face the winner of the match between USM Algers of Algeria and Niger's Sonidep in the next round.
