Kenyan athlete David Rudisha was involved in a road accident at Kegogi area along the Keroka-Sotik road on Saturday night.
Rudisha's car, a blue Landcruiser V8, collided head-on with a bus belonging to Easy Coach that was heading to Nairobi.
According to police, Rudisha was treated at the Keroka Sub County Hospital and discharged.
He recorded a statement at Keroka Police Station, accompanied by close relatives, before heading to his rural home in Kilgoris, Narok County.
It is not clear whether Rudisha was alone in the car at the time of the accident.
