On Sunday morning, Olympic 800m Champion David Rudisha narrowly escaped death in a road accident on the Kijauri-Keroka Highway in Nyamira County, Kenya.

According to reports, a bus collided with Rudisha's car in the Nyansiongo area, causing significant damage.

Reactions from Kenyans poured in, with many expressing relief that Rudisha survived the accident.

"That was a hard kick. Thank God for his protection," said Jemimah Areba.

"God is always good and faithful to his people…let it be investigated though," added Mzalendo Charles Muchangi.
