Solskjaer Defends Jesse Lingard Amid Criticism from Man United Fans ¶
Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has come to the defense of Jesse Lingard, who has been under fire from fans for his recent performances.
On August 24, Lingard started in Man United's 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace at Old Trafford, but struggled to make an impact alongside Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.
Despite his lackluster performance, Solskjaer has insisted that Lingard remains a vital part of his plans, saying, "Jesse has not scored any goals in our last three games, no. But he’s been a big part of our team and he’ll keep continuing to be an important part,"
When asked if he had an issue with Lingard after the defeat to Palace, Solskjaer replied, "No, we stick together."
It remains to be seen whether Lingard will be able to rediscover his form and regain the trust of the Man United fans.
