On a typical day in 2019, Deputy President William Ruto's home in Nairobi's suburb Karen was abuzz with activity as 2019 Census enumerators arrived to conduct the national headcount.

The enumerators were warmly received in the Ruto's living room, which was a testament to the family's impeccable taste in interior design. The room was filled with a polished wooden floor, luxury classic designer crown sofa sets, and aroma sofa sets that ranged between Sh 159,900 and Sh 300,000.

The furniture was carefully selected to match the room's décor, with the tables mirroring the seats and the classy curtains complementing the walls' paint and color of the seats.

DP Ruto and his family, including his wife Rachel, sons Nick and George Kimutai, and adopted daughter Nadia Jerono, were present in the living room when the enumerators arrived. They were among the first Kenyans to be counted in the 2019 Census.

Victoria furniture and Furniture Palace, Nasimi interiors are among the leading showroom furniture in the country, and it's clear that the Ruto family spared no expense in furnishing their home.
