Kenya Urban Road Authority (Kura) has announced that parts of Thika Road will be closed on September 1 to facilitate the installation of overpass beams.

According to a notice issued on August 24, 2019, the Thika-bound service lane at Ruaraka Interchange will be partly closed to enable the installation of Overpass beams for the Outer Ring Junction Overpass.

As part of the ongoing construction of the overpass in the Allsops area, two lanes of Thika superhighway have been closed for the past month to ease traffic transition between the two major roads.

Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly to avoid any disruptions on September 1.
