On a lazy Saturday afternoon, Peace Thitu, a 26-year-old IT technician, thought she had hit the jackpot when she met a man on a Kenyan dating site. However, her date turned into a horror show when a woman stormed into the restaurant, shouting insults and revealing that the man was taken and had left his girlfriend doing laundry at home.

Thitu was not the only one who had a disastrous date. Dorcas Wanjiru, a 39-year-old writer, had a date with a man who claimed to be a big fan of her blog. However, when they met, he seemed more interested in getting her to pay for his meal than in getting to know her.

Wanjiru's date was not the only one that went wrong. Lynn Hadassah, a 22-year-old student, had a date with a man who drove her around in circles for hours, taking her to a roadside wines and spirits shop and a restaurant that had already closed its kitchen.

Hadassah's date was not the only one that was a waste of time. Mercy Macharia, a 27-year-old Counselling psychologist, had a date with a man who claimed to be an athlete. However, when she lent him her phone, he stole it and disappeared.

These four women share their worst dating experiences, from men who tagged along their girlfriends to those who disappeared before the bill. Their stories are a reminder that not all dates are created equal, and that sometimes, it's better to stay home and watch TV.
