Heavily pregnant Tanasha Donna is eagerly awaiting the arrival of her baby, due anytime now.
On Thursday, Tanasha and her fiancé Diamond Platnumz held a baby shower at a hotel in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, surrounded by close friends and family.
Tanasha's grandmother, a maternal figure, was in attendance, and the couple's family members, including her uncles and cousins, also joined in the celebration.
However, Tanasha's mother was noticeably absent, citing work commitments as the reason. In a previous interview, Tanasha explained that her mother was 'held up with work' and couldn't travel to Africa anytime soon.
As a result, the couple had to postpone their Valentine's Day wedding, initially scheduled for February 14, until Tanasha's mother could be present.
According to Tanasha, her mother couldn't secure leave to travel to Africa, leading to the postponement of their wedding.
Speaking about the wedding postponement, Tanasha said, 'THE WEDDING WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FEBRUARY THE 14TH FEBRUARY BUT I TOLD DIAMOND THAT I CAN'T DO IT UNTIL MY MOM IS HERE, AND SHE CAN'T LEAVE WORK AT THE MOMENT.'
She added, 'WE ARE THINKING PROBABLY TOWARDS THE END OF SEPTEMBER IS WHEN WE ARE PLANNING. I AM THE ONE WHO HAD TO CANCEL IT, I CANCEL. BECAUSE MY MOTHER HAS TO BE THERE AND MY FAMILY COULDN'T BE ABLE TO COME IN FEBRUARY.'
After the baby shower, Tanasha took to Instagram to thank everyone who made the event special, saying, 'I just wanna say a huge thank you to everyone who came yesterday and made my baby shower special??? I was exhausted, functioning on barely any rest for days because I really wanted to make this night special but it wouldn’t have been complete without each and everyone who attended. Thank you for the gifts, thank you for coming. God bless you all.'
