On August 23, Deputy President William Ruto had a joyous reunion with Sospeter Ojuwang, a classmate he had not seen in 35 years.
According to Ruto, the two had studied together at Wareng High School in Eldoret from 1981 to 1984.
"It was a joy to meet Peter Ojuwang again, a classmate I had not seen since our days at Wareng High School in Eldoret," Ruto tweeted.
During their time at Wareng High, Ruto and Ojuwang had studied together until they reached the O level. Ruto then proceeded to Kapsabet Boys High School for his A level.
After completing his A level in 1986, Ruto joined the University of Nairobi, where he began to develop his leadership skills.
At the university, Ruto was known for his involvement in the Christian student union, where he held leadership positions.
After graduating, Ruto returned to his home in Vihiga County, where he began teaching at Sirgoi and Kamagut secondary schools.
