Liz Lundis phone rang, and she hesitated before answering. It was Brian, a man she had been in a relationship with, calling to ask for help. His father had just had a heart attack and was in the hospital, and Brian was worried sick.

At first, Liz was sympathetic, but as they talked, she began to feel uneasy. Brian asked her to send him half a million shillings to help pay for his fathers medical bills, but he seemed evasive when she asked for more information.

As they spoke, Liz remembered the suspicious story Fatma had told her about Brian. She was torn between helping a man in need and the possibility that Brian was lying to her.

Despite her reservations, Liz agreed to send Brian the money, but only after he provided her with the details of all the people he owed so she could pay them directly. However, Brian became defensive and accused Fatma of being jealous and malicious.

Just as Liz was about to hang up, she noticed something odd about the photos Brian had sent her. She realized that he was lying, and she had the proof.

With her doubts confirmed, Liz hung up the phone and wondered what to do next. Had she just been played by a master manipulator, or was Brian genuinely in need of help?
