Reddit Offline, a popular third-party app that allowed users to download their feeds for offline access, has been removed from the Google Play Store.

The app's developer cited Google's policy on impersonation and intellectual property as the reason for the removal, stating that the app's name was too similar to the official Reddit app.

This is not the first time a third-party Reddit app has faced similar issues. In 2015, several apps were forced to change their names after Reddit updated its policy to prohibit developers from using the word 'Reddit' in their app names without adding 'for' before it.

The developer is appealing the decision and is considering re-releasing the app under a different name if it cannot be restored to the Play Store.

According to the developer, 'If it cannot be restored, I will change its name and icon, and publish it as a different app.'
