Published on August 23, 2019, Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia are in a crucial campaign for a place in the first round of Africa's premier club football tournament, the CAF Champions League.

The team will face Burundi's Aigle Noir Makamba in the second leg of the 2019 CAF Champions League preliminaries at the Moi International Sports Centre in Kasarani.

Having drawn 0-0 in the first leg in Bujumbura, Gor Mahia must secure a win to advance to the next round.

Meanwhile, Bandari FC played Sudan's club Al-Ahly Shendi in the return leg match of the CAF Confederation Cup, drawing 1-1 and proceeding courtesy of away goals.

Both Gor Mahia and Bandari FC have a chance to make Kenya proud by qualifying for the first round of these tournaments.
