Enosh Ochieng, the Ulinzi Stars striker, has been awarded KSh 250,000 and a 49' LG Smart TV for his 20 league goals in the 2018/19 Kenyan Premier League season.
However, a late decision by the KPL's Independent Disciplinary Complaint and Appeals Committee (IDCAC) on August 22, 2019, slashed two goals off his season tally, making him one of three joint top scorers.
According to Mike Okinyi, the SJAK Secretary General, the ruling made by the IDCC will not affect the award, as it was made after the awards.
"No. The awards stay as they were, the ruling made yesterday shall not affect the award. The ruling had been made after the awards, therefore, we shall not reverse that," Okinyi explained.
