Sabina Chege Denies Romance with Late Singer John De'Mathew ¶
Representative Sabina Chege of Murang'a county has denied claims of a romantic relationship with late singer John De'Mathew, who died in a road accident on August 18.
De'Mathew died on August 18 after being involved in a fatal road accident on Thika Super Highway near the Blue Post hotel.
According to Sabina, she had a close relationship with De'Mathew, who was like a brother to her, and she had also worked with him on a song, Njata Yakwa.
She revealed that she received news of De'Mathew's death while in India for a work-related trip, and people started sending her condolence messages and videos of their collaborations.
"John was like my elder brother, we used to meet often when I was a radio presenter," Sabina said in an interview with Kameme TV on August 23.
De'Mathew will be laid to rest on August 24 at his home in Murang'a county.
