Published on August 23, 2019, Utukufu, a bus with the registration number KBZ 757V, has been a staple on the River of God (ROG) Sacco route 23 Civo.

With a diverse fleet since 2018, ROG has been keeping its promise of providing a unique experience for its passengers. This month, the focus is on 'umanyanga ndani ya uniform', a theme that reflects the bus's exterior and interior design.

Utukufu's exterior is eye-catching, thanks to Lithium Arts, and the Jav is well-maintained with gold-plated Aluco boards, aluminum rims, and decent back portraits. The interior features a main 40-inch screen, triangular-shaped Perspex patterns, and a few roof stickers.

Music-wise, Utukufu offers a decent experience, although it had some distortions. The bus is a neat and well-managed vehicle, with a fully compliant Sacco that adheres to its gospel code.

Fun fact: ROG is one of the main Sacco's in this route, along with CBET, and 23s for Muthurwa pass by the route. If you grew up in Harambee, Jeri, Salem, or Bahati estate, you might be familiar with the delicacy 'pasua', which was a heavenly treat.

Legendary vehicles in this route include Diablo, Fatal, Rockers, Raptor's, and Mischief the great. As a route to venture into, it's a short route with less pressure, fairly good roads, and a maximum fare of Sh70. Offloads of 5-10,000 are possible here.

Big up SAM, the driver, for his friendliness and cooperation during this sampling. The next time you're going to Uhuru estate, get to Gillhouse, look for Utukufu, and get your spirit lifted by smooth urban gospel hits.
