Italian football manager Maurizio Sarri, 60, has been diagnosed with pneumonia, forcing him to miss Juventus' upcoming Serie A matches against Parma and Napoli.

Initially, Sarri was thought to have the flu, but further tests revealed pneumonia, prompting him to undergo treatment.

According to a Juventus club statement, Sarri's condition has shown a 'good clinical improvement', but he will still be absent from the dugout for the next two league games.

Sarri joined Juventus in June, succeeding compatriot Massimiliano Allegri, and previously managed Chelsea from 2018 to 2019, where he won the Europa League.
