NIC Bank's Pretax Profits Reach KSh3.1 Billion in First Six Months of 2019

Published on August 23, 2019, NIC Bank released its half-year results for the period ending June 2019, showing a pretax profit of KSh 3.1 billion.

This represents a slight increase from KSh 2.9 billion reported in the same period in 2018.

The bank's total non-interest income increased to KSh 2.3 billion, driven by higher fees on commissions and advances, foreign exchange trading income, and other income.

Operating income rose from KSh 6.5 billion to KSh 7.4 billion, while total operating expenses increased from KSh 3.6 billion to KSh 4.2 billion.

As a result, NIC Directors approved an interim dividend payment of KSh 0.25 for every ordinary share held.
