Thierry Henry, the 42-year-old former Arsenal striker, is eager to prove himself as a successful football manager despite his brief and unhappy tenure at Monaco.
Henry, who was a member of the France squads that won both the 1998 World Cup and the Euro 2000 title, told the Daily Telegraph that he has received five job offers since being sacked by Monaco in October 2018.
"Call me crazy if you want, but I love football and I believe I can be a successful coach," Henry said.
Henry's dream return to Monaco turned into a nightmare, lasting just over 100 days after only four league wins. He has since spoken with basketball and athletics coaches to gain extra insight into coaching top-level athletes.
"I came out of it fully reassured that's what I want to do, zero doubt about it," Henry said.
Henry is now looking for a new opportunity, but he is not willing to settle for a number two job. "I won't do a number two job because I want to be a number one," he said.
