At the ongoing Africa States Bowls Championships in Nairobi, Kenya's men's team made a strong impression, securing a silver medal in pairs and a bronze medal in trips.
According to the tournament standings, Namibia took the top spot in pairs with 13 points, followed by Kenya with 12 points, and South Africa with 9 points. Botswana and Zimbabwe trailed behind with 6 and 4 points, respectively.
Kenya's men's team also performed well in the trips, collecting 6 points to secure a bronze medal. South Africa took the gold with 11 points, while Zimbabwe secured the silver with 10 points.
However, the women's team failed to win any medals in singles and fours. In the singles, Zimbabwe took the gold with 12 points, followed by Kenya with 1 point, and Zambia with 6 points. In the fours, Botswana secured the gold with 9 points, beating South Africa on countback after both teams tied with 9 points each.
The Africa States Bowls Championships are taking place at Nairobi Club, with the men's event entering the singles and fours competition, and the women's event competing in pairs and trips.
