Manchester United's pursuit of former Tottenham star Fernando Llorente has gained momentum, with the Red Devils reportedly offering the 34-year-old a two-year contract.
According to a Metro UK report citing Gazzetta dello Sport, United have already had talks with Llorente and a deal has been agreed, although Napoli and Lazio are also in the running to land the services of the Spaniard.
Llorente, who played an integral part in Spurs' success last season, finding the back of the net eight times as the London side reached the finals of the Champions League, is currently a free agent after being released by Tottenham in the summer.
United are keen to sign a striker after losing Romelu Lukaku in the summer to Inter Milan, as well as the potential exit of Alexis Sanchez.
Despite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insisting he is happy with his attackline in Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford, losing either to injury would leave him turning to youngster Mason Greenwood.
It is for this reason United are said to have turned to Llorente to add depth in their striking department.
