Massive exodus of learners has hit prestigious Makini Schools, with parents attributing the decline to poor leadership under new management.

According to parents who spoke to Weekly Citizen, the institution's academic performance has significantly dwindled since Schole Limited, led by CEO Adam Nicholas, acquired the schools from founder Dr Mary Okello in 2019.

Parents claim that the new leadership has prioritized profits over maintaining high academic standards, a move that has led to the exodus of students.

Furthermore, the sacking of teachers handling this year's exam candidates has raised concerns about the potential impact on student performance.

CEO Adam Nicholas has denied the allegations, stating that the number of students has increased from 3,400 to 3,600 since the new management took over.
