Prostitution has evolved in Nairobi, with more people seeking quick money through the profession. This shift is evident in the rise of digital prostitution, where individuals like Mercy, a 26-year-old university student, operate online escort services.
According to Mercy, she posts photos of attractive women to entice potential clients, who then contact her for a meeting at her one-bedroom apartment in Roysambu. She operates with four other women, and they parade in front of clients for selection.
"I always post photos of sexy women (not mine) to entice men and per day I get three to five calls from potential clients," Mercy told Mpasho.co.ke in an interview published on August 22, 2019.
She further explained that clients bargain for services, and they agree on a price before proceeding to the bedroom. The prices for services range from Sh10,000 for normal sex to Sh20,000 per hour, and up to Sh100,000 for a night of threesomes and orgies.
Interestingly, Mercy noted that most clients requesting threesomes are foreigners, who are willing to pay handsomely for the services. She also mentioned that Nigerians, Ghanaians, Arabs, and Congolese are among the nationalities that prefer threesomes and orgies, while Kenyans tend to opt for one woman.
One shocking incident Mercy shared was when a 60-year-old retired Kenyan politician fainted during a threesome with her and her friend. They administered blue pills to revive him, but he eventually came around with first aid.
