Former Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has made a significant move in his career, joining Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor on a three-year contract.

Sturridge, who was part of the Liverpool team that won the Champions League title last season, has signed with Trabzonspor after parting ways with the Merseyside outfit.

According to information on the club's website, Trabzonspor has an option to extend Sturridge's deal by one more year.

Sturridge, a two-time Champions League winner, was also an option for other clubs like Marseille, Eintracht Frankfurt, Real Betis, and Atalanta.

During his seven-year reign at Anfield, Sturridge scored 68 goals and assisted 26 others in 160 appearances for the Reds in all competitions.

Sturridge's decision to join Trabzonspor comes after the club failed to offer him a contract extension this summer.

He is one of the few players to have won the Champions League title with two different clubs — first with Chelsea in 2012 and seven years later, he helped the Reds clinch the title in Madrid.

Sturridge's move to Trabzonspor has been met with interest from fans and football enthusiasts alike, with many eager to see how he will perform in the Turkish Super Lig.
