On the occasion of its 110th anniversary, Bugatti has unveiled the Centodieci, a limited-edition car that pays homage to the iconic EB110 of the 1990s. The car was unveiled at the Quail Motorsports Gathering last week.
As is typical of Bugatti, the Centodieci is a handmade masterpiece that will be as rare as it is expensive. Only 10 units will be made, each starting at €8 million pre-taxed, equivalent to $8.88 million. Notably, all 10 units have already been claimed.
The design of the Centodieci draws inspiration from both the EB110 and the Chiron, Bugatti's latest car before the Centodieci. The car features five circular air intakes towards the back, reminiscent of the 1990s hypercar, to cool the engine. Additionally, it boasts a transparent glass surface over the engine and an 8-liter W16 engine underneath, similar to the Chiron.
"Transporting this classic look into the new millennium without copying it was technically complex, to say the least," said Achim Anscheidt, head Designer at Bugatti, in a prepared statement.
