A teenage girl from Nairobi is fighting for justice after being allegedly defiled and impregnated by a Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officer in November last year.
The incident occurred when the 15-year-old girl was sent to run errands in Tassia estate, Embakasi, by her mother.
According to the girl, she was defiled by an officer identified as Mathenge, who she met while looking for a mop.
Mathenge allegedly lured her to his house, locked the door, and threatened her with a gun before raping her.
The girl kept the ordeal a secret, but eventually shared it with a family member after missing her periods.
After much pressure from her family, she identified Mathenge as the perpetrator, but he denied the accusations and reported them to the police.
A community social worker intervened and booked the matter at Embakasi Police station under OB30/07/03/2019.
