US President Donald Trump has been relying on tariffs and interest rate cuts to address the country's trade deficit, but economists at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have a different view.
According to a statement made on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, IMF economists said that US tariffs on China and weakening the US dollar through interest rate cuts will not fix the trade deficit.
