On August 21, 2019, DT Dobie marked a significant milestone in its efforts to meet the needs of its customers in western Kenya by opening a parts shop in Eldoret.
Located on the ground floor of the Petrol City office block, a short distance from the town centre along the Eldoret to Kitale highway, the outlet will stock genuine spares for Mercedes-Benz and Hyundai trucks, as well as a limited selection of parts for Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen passenger cars.
According to Kennedy Munyao, DT Dobie's General Parts Manager, the new outlet was established in response to requests from truck customers for a convenient source of replacement parts while they are in transit to neighboring countries.
“For long term economy and safety, we always recommend that truck owners use genuine Mercedes Benz spares which carry a warranty unlike second tier parts,” Munyao emphasized.
DT Dobie is the sole distributor of Mercedes-Benz passenger cars, trucks, and buses in Kenya, as well as Volkswagen cars and light commercial vehicles, GWM Wingle pick-ups, and Hyundai trucks.
