On May 15, 2015, the world lost a talented athlete, Samuel Wanjiru, under mysterious circumstances. His mother, Anne Wanjiru, has now spoken out about the extent of his injuries, which she claims were intentional.
Speaking to Inooro TV, Anne Wanjiru revealed that when she saw her son's body at the morgue, it was clear that he had been hit intentionally. She recalled the injuries, saying, 'His private parts were squeezed.'
Wanjiru's death was initially reported as a fall from the second floor of his house, where he lived with his widow, Trizah Njeri. However, Anne Wanjiru disputes this account, pointing to the post-mortem results, which showed that Wanjiru's private parts had been mangled and some bones around his head were broken three times.
Seven years after Wanjiru's death, the case remains unsolved, with no one arrested. Anne Wanjiru has pleaded with the government to bring justice to her son's killers, saying, 'I am pleading with the government to help bring his killers to justice because this case is slowly dwindling off.'
Wanjiru's case officially began in May 2014, but it has stalled since February 2019. The lack of progress has left the family and the public frustrated, with many calling for justice to be served.
