Published on August 21, 2019, Marianne Kitany, the estranged wife of Meru Senator Mithika Linturi, has exposed the senator's deceitful marriage to her.
Kitany testified in court that Linturi had informed her he was single and available for marriage, claiming to have divorced his three previous wives: Susan Gacheri Kimani, Mercy Kaimenyi, and Hellen Mumbi Kariuki.
However, Kitany later discovered she was the senator's fourth wife, and he had introduced her to his parents as his wife. Linturi had also moved into her Kileleshwa house due to rent arrears, which she assisted with by paying Ksh200,000.
Kitany further revealed that in June 2015, the couple had taken a one-year lease on a house in Runda to accommodate their six children, with Kitany contributing Sh26 million towards the construction of their house in Meru, which was being renovated at the time.
