Gun Drama: Woman Arrested After Confrontation with Reuben Ndolo

On August 17, 2019, a dramatic gun drama unfolded at Bustani Gardens along Oledume road in Nairobi, pitting former Makadara MP Reuben Ndolo against Ms. Papinder Kaur Atwal.

Ms. Atwal had gone into hiding after the incident, but on Wednesday, she surrendered to the police, who were seeking her for creating disturbance and threatening to kill.

According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Ms. Atwal was also being sought for engaging in business without a work permit.

Meanwhile, Reuben Ndolo was charged with threatening to kill and causing disturbance on Tuesday. He denied the charges and was released on KSh200,000 cash bail.

Six other suspects charged alongside the former MP were each released on KSh30,000 cash bail.

The case will be mentioned on September 3 for pre-trial directions.
