Controversial preacher James Ng'ang'a of Neno Evangelism Ministries has sparked outrage after boasting that he buys cars like shoes, claiming he is rich enough to afford any vehicle he desires.
Ng'ang'a made the remarks during a sermon at his church, where he also claimed to be the most talked-about preacher in the country, the most handsome man of God, and the best evangelist.
He recalled how he was released from prison in 1992 and started his ministry, using a hand cart to carry luggage for people as he preached. He later sold newspapers to generate income for his upkeep and preaching activities.
Ng'ang'a claimed that God has been faithful to him, and he can now afford to buy vehicles at will. He also bragged about how he bought his first car by making a mere deposit of KSh 10,000 out of the agreed price of KSh 380,000.
However, Ng'ang'a's boasts have sparked controversy, with many Kenyans expressing outrage over his perceived arrogance and lack of humility. The preacher has been in the news for several controversies, including publicly telling off senior leaders in his church and humiliating two women in his congregation over their perceived cheap dressing code.
One of the bishops in his church even quit in a huff following the public humiliation.
Ng'ang'a's boasts have sparked a heated debate on social media, with many calling for him to be held accountable for his actions.
