Real Estate Investment Advice for Every Age ¶
Investing in real estate is a popular choice for many, but it's not often associated with young women. However, the women featured in this article have taken the plunge and shared their experiences and insights on investing in real estate.
For Violette Riungu, a communication consultant in her 40s, investing in real estate started in her mid-30s when she felt financially secure. She believes that the best time to start thinking about investing in real estate is as soon as you start working. 'By the time I was in my 20s, my parents who had also invested in real estate convinced me into doing what they did in their 20s,' she says.
Farida Nzilani, a digital media strategist in her 30s, turned to real estate when she started thinking about her retirement plan. She credits her close friend, who has already invested in real estate, for answering many of her questions. 'Having a clear vision of what it is I want to do when I retire; I then started to think of the place that I would retire to,' she says.
Hilda Ng'ang'a, a real estate agent and property manager in her 20s, has a unique perspective on investing in real estate. As someone who works in the industry, she has a deep understanding of the sector. 'The fact that I pursued a real estate related course at university and later got into Real Estate business got me interested in investing in the sector earlier than my peers,' she says.
These women, and many others like them, are proof that investing in real estate is not just for older people. With the right mindset and strategy, anyone can invest in real estate and achieve their financial goals.
As Violette notes, 'The starting point of any good investment is asking questions to the relevant people like investment bankers, real estate investors, and real estate experts who are willing to divulge information.'
Farida agrees, saying, 'It looks like a difficult thing to get into from the outside looking in but once I got to understand real estate as I do now I wondered why I never got into it earlier.'
Hilda adds, 'Active saving and investing in real estate should be done as soon as someone is ready, there can be no rush or worry that you are falling behind.'
These women's experiences and insights offer valuable advice for anyone considering investing in real estate, regardless of their age.
