On August 20, 2019, Microsoft announced the release of Microsoft Edge Beta, a stable and feature-rich version of its recommended Windows 10 browser.
According to Microsoft, the Beta channel represents the most stable preview channel, with features added after clearing quality testing in the Canary and Dev channels.
Major version updates can be expected roughly every six weeks, with an official full Microsoft Edge update to all Windows 10 devices potentially happening in October with the expected yearly update.
Microsoft will continue to contribute to the Chromium project, making the web better for all Chromium-based browsers, including Google and Opera.
Users can expect to find features such as customizable layouts, site tracking blocking, dark themes, and the ability to install Add-ons from Google's Chrome Web Store.
Microsoft is encouraging users to try out the new build, which is available now in Beta.
