On August 16, 2019, a tense scene unfolded at Bustani Gardens in Nairobi, where former Makadara MP Reuben Ndolo and six others were accused of uttering words threatening to kill Rashid Hamid, director at Richland Properties Ltd.

According to the prosecution, Ndolo and his co-accused, Daniel Otieno Juma, allegedly broke into the gates of the premise and commanded the security guards to leave their working place.

Chief Magistrate Martha Mutuku heard the case and released Ndolo and Juma on a cash bail of Sh200,000 or an alternative bond of Sh300,000 with one surety.

The other accused persons were released on a cash bail of Sh30,000 or an alternative bond of Sh50,000.

The case will be heard on October 2, 2019.
