Former Agriculture Minister Mwangi Kiunjuri addressed the media for the first time since his dismissal from President Uhuru Kenyatta's Cabinet on Tuesday, expressing relief and vowing to remain principled.
During a press briefing in Nairobi, Kiunjuri stated the President's decision did not surprise him. "I thank God. I feel relieved. Having endured a difficult year marked by challenges that tested my energy and resolve, I have faced humiliation. Now I am independent and will remain principled," he said.
Kiunjuri emphasized he would not remain silent, declaring, "If provoked, I will react. For every action, there will be a reaction." He denied attributing his sacking to political motives, stating, "The President is my friend."
