On August 20, 2019, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) ordered Nigerian champions Enyimba to play their CAF Champions League preliminary round tie behind closed doors.
The decision was made due to concerns over the stadium in Aba, southeast Nigeria, where Enyimba are based.
According to CAF, the stadium lacks adequate floodlights, CCTV cameras, and an electronic scoreboard, despite re-opening last year after major renovations.
Enyimba, who are looking to come back from a 1-0 away loss to Burkina Faso's Rahimo, said they are confident they can fix the problem should the squad reach the group stages.
Enyimba, two-time winners of the Champions League, will face another inspection of the stadium following the match.
