Published on August 20, 2019, Victor Wanyama's future at Tottenham Hotspur is in doubt as he struggles to secure regular playing time.

The Kenyan international, who was widely linked with a summer departure from Spurs, has fallen down the pecking order and is now sixth choice in the midfield setup.

Wanyama's struggles for game time come as a result of the arrival of Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Winks, Eric Dier, Moussa Sissoko, and Oliver Skipp, who have all been preferred ahead of him.

Despite making Tottenham's matchday squad against Aston Villa, Wanyama was unable to earn a minute of play, and he was subsequently frozen out of the squad in the second Premier League clash against Manchester City.

With Mauricio Pochettino naming youngster Oliver Skipp ahead of Wanyama, it is clear that the Kenyan midfielder is no longer a guaranteed starter for the London side.

As a result, all signs point towards Wanyama's exit from Tottenham, especially given his supposed peak in his career and the lack of game time he is likely to receive in the foreseeable future.
