On a fateful Sunday night, a devastating accident occurred at Blue Post, claiming the life of renowned singer John De Mathew. A good Samaritan, who wishes to remain anonymous, has shared his harrowing account of the events that unfolded.

According to the eyewitness, he was driving behind a lorry when he reached the accident scene. A man standing next to a small car and a lorry waved at him, prompting him to stop. He helped the man stop the oncoming vehicles while he removed John De Mathew from the car.

As the doctor recounted the events, he revealed that John De Mathew was still alive after the accident and was bleeding from the forehead. He was not talking but was breathing, with his legs still on the brake pedal and his upper body between the two front seats.

The good Samaritan expressed his shock at the callous nature of Kenyan motorists, who sped off without stopping to help. He noted that most people refused to stop, thinking it was thugs stopping them. He eventually called the police and used a matatu to ferry John De Mathew to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

As the doctor reflected on the incident, he lamented the attitude of Kenyans, saying, 'Our attitude as Kenyans is bad. We're supposed to be the first, first aid givers.'
