On August 19, 2019, Wasili Cab Services, a Kenyan taxi-hailing firm, expanded to Kitale, marking its fourth town in Kenya.
The move is part of the company's strategy to capture regions that remain unexplored by competitors such as Uber, Taxify, and Little.
Founded by Mark Njagi and Tim Kamanga in 2018, Wasili Cab Services has grown significantly, with its platform now hosting over 100 cabs, up from just three at its inception.
The company is currently recruiting partners in Kitale County and plans to continue offering high-quality services at competitive rates.
Wasili Cab Services charges Sh150 for the shortest trip and levies a 15 percent commission on the driver's total earnings.
According to Tim Kamanga, the company aims to roll out its cab services to all counties in the Rift Valley region soon.
