On August 19, 2019, KCB Football Club unveiled its revamped squad and appointed Zedekiah 'Zico' Otieno as the new head coach ahead of the 2019-2020 season.
As part of the changes, the club has signed nine new players, including Ugandan goalkeeper Allan Owini, Sofapaka duo of midfielder Denis Odhiambo and striker Steven Waruru, and Pascal Ogweno from Gor Mahia.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony in Nairobi, KCB Group Director Regional Businesses Paul Russo, who is also the club's president, expressed confidence in the team's ability to compete effectively in the Premier League.
'We are targeting the top honours this season,' Russo said. 'We have strengthened all the departments, learning from last season's experiences so as to give the team the technical capacity it requires in the highly competitive Premier League setting.'
Under Zico's leadership, the team's technical bench consists of team manager Bramwell Simiyu, assisted by Godfey Oduor Otieno, while Samuel Macharia will be the strength and conditioning coach.
The team will kick off the 2019/20 season with an away clash against Sony Sugar in Awendo on August 31, 2019.
