Robert Ouko, a legendary Kenyan athlete, has left a lasting legacy in the world of sports. Born in 1952, Ouko rose to fame in the 1970s, winning numerous accolades, including two gold medals at the 1970 British Commonwealth Games.
However, it was his performance at the 1972 Munich Olympics that cemented his place in history. As part of the Golden Quartet, Ouko ran the 3rd leg of the men's 4400M relay final, handing the baton to the late Julius Sang, who anchored the team to a gold medal in 43.5 seconds.
