Manchester United's Lineup for Wolves Showdown ¶
Manchester United will be looking to build on their 4-0 win over Chelsea in their Premier League opener when they face Wolves at Molineux on August 19.
However, they face a challenging task against a Wolves side that has not lost a match at home in the league since January.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is likely to stick to the same backline that silenced Chelsea at Old Trafford, with new signings Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka keeping their places.
But the midfield poses a greater tactical headache for Solskjaer, who would not have been happy with the sluggishness of United's passing in the middle in the first half of their clash against Chelsea.
Andreas Pereira could be moved closer to the middle to maintain pressure on Ruben Neves, who troubled them last season.
This would allow Scott McTominay to play a little deeper, affording the Scot more time to keep and recycle possession.
That would enable Paul Pogba, who prefers a free role, to supply the ball forward in a link up with the dangerous Anthony Martial.
With Solskjaer keen to employ a system where his frontline is able to interchange freely and press opponents in attack, Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard could be drawn in to partner with Martial upfront.
