It's been a tumultuous journey for Prezzo, the self-proclaimed 'president' of Kenyan rap. From high-profile breakups to public feuds, he's made headlines for all the wrong reasons. However, in a recent interview, Prezzo revealed a changed man, one who's prioritizing sobriety and self-reflection.
Speaking to Word Is on Thursday, Prezzo shared his newfound commitment to a healthier lifestyle. 'I am even cutting down on drinking alcohol. Nowadays I take a glass of wine only during dinner and I’m good,' he said.
Prezzo's past relationships have been marred by controversy, including his divorce from Daisy Kiplagat in 2012. Daisy accused Prezzo of adultery and physical abuse, allegations he's denied. The two had married in 2008, but their union was short-lived.
Prezzo's most recent breakup with Tanzanian musician Amber Lulu has left fans wondering if he'll ever settle down. When asked about his love life, Prezzo said, 'The problem is when I meet someone, they tend to act like they know my whole life. After some time they want to change me and control how I will handle the fans.'
Despite his past mistakes, Prezzo remains optimistic about finding true love. 'If someone was to stick by me, I would do anything for them because I am a good man,' he said.
As Prezzo navigates his personal life, he's also giving back to his community. Alongside Kompact Recordz CEO Steve, Prezzo has been involved in an initiative to upgrade houses for residents of Kibra, providing them with decent settlements.
While Prezzo's past controversies still linger, it's clear that he's working towards a brighter future. Only time will tell if his newfound sobriety and self-awareness will lead to lasting change.
