On August 19, 2019, Little, a Safaricom-backed ride-hailing firm, partnered with Jambojet, a regional low-cost carrier, to grow its customer base in Kenya.
The partnership aims to provide Jambojet customers with affordable and convenient travel options, while also helping Little cut out competition from venture-backed companies like Uber and Bolt.
As part of the initiative, Little will offer a $1.5 discount (Kshs.150) on cab rides to and from airports in Nairobi, Mombasa, and Kisumu for three months.
The campaign will also be promoted on the foldable tray tables of Jambojet's De Havilland Dash 8 Q400 aircrafts.
"This is an exciting partnership that will offer Jambojet customers more convenience and affordability to and from the airport, which is what we live for at Little," said Mr Anoke Chisom, Head of Global Expansion at Little.
Little is also taking up ad space in the regional airline to reach a targeted captive audience traveling across East Africa.
"Our inflight advertising platform offers brands an effective way to reach consumers who are increasingly difficult to influence through traditional media," said Jambojet Chief Executive officer Mr. Allan Kilavuka.
