Gospel Singer Nicah the Queen Forced to Pull Down Bikini Photo

Published on August 19, 2019, at 09:54.

Gospel singer Nicah the Queen has faced a heavy backlash on Instagram after sharing a photo of herself in a bikini. The photo, which was uploaded on Sunday night, showed Nicah trying on a bikini before heading to the pool.

However, the post did not go down well with many of her followers, who felt that it was inappropriate for a gospel artiste to parade acres of skin on social media. Many commenters pointed out that Nicah was acting inappropriately, basing on the fact that she is a minister of the word.

Some of the comments included: "Usifanye jina la mungu litukanwe, protect the name of God even if your image to people doesn’t matter @Nicahthequeen" and "Enda Gym kwanza unakaa mnyama aaitwa kiboko".

Before pulling down the photo, Nicah had decided to tackle some critics, wondering why they were so bothered with what she put up on social media. However, the backlash continued, with many commenters pointing out that she was acting inappropriately.

One commenter, Queen Esther, said: "This is so sad, too much exposure, are you trying to market yourself". Another commenter, Kapsdave, said: "Swimming is swimming, looking good and every sport needs an attire. You don’t have an option. Enjoy life and God loves you. Nicahthequeen".

Despite the backlash, Nicah had initially defended her post, saying: "Na si mko na Opinion mingi. Weeh si kesho unilipie bill ya Maji". However, she eventually pulled down the photo, citing the heavy backlash she had received.
